Netflix's Assassin's Creed TV show is progressing ahead, with actor Toby Wallace joining the series as its first confirmed actor.

Wallace, known for his roles on HBO's Euphoria and the movie The Bikeriders, will be a series regular on the show in an unspecified co-lead role, Deadline reported. The official Netflix account confirmed Wallace's involvement.

The Deadline report added that filming is due to begin next year in Italy, which will also be a setting for the show. However, the time period for the series is unknown. The games jump throughout history and the modern day.

As announced previously, Roberto Patino (Westworld) and David Wiener (Halo) are the showrunners for the untitled Assassin's Creed show. In 2023, the previous showrunner, Jeb Stuart, quit the show over a "difference in vision."

Before this, 20th Century Fox produced 2016's live-action Assassin's Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, and it made more than $240 million worldwide.

In addition to this new live-action series, Netflix is producing an animated series based on Assassin's Creed. Ubisoft is also developing a new Assassin's Creed game for Netflix Games.

This news about the Assassin's Creed TV show comes just after Ubisoft announced that the Assassin's Creed series is showing strong momentum.

Another Ubisoft franchise, Far Cry, is getting a TV show as well--it was recently ordered to series for Hulu.

Congratulations, you managed to summarize a press release! If I wanted to read corporate jargon, I'd apply for a job at Netflix. Throw in some hot takes next time and maybe we’ll care about Toby Wallace’s big break.
Specific Examples Well Organized
Okay, so let's dive into this! An Assassin's Creed live-action TV show is a total game-changer! We're talking about a paradigm shift in the entertainment ecosystem, right? And now, with Toby Wallace on board, we're looking at some serious synergy! I mean, the guy's got some killer creds from Euphoria and The Bikeriders, so I'm hyped to see what he brings to the table. This is a low-hanging fruit opportunity for the franchise to really disrupt the TV landscape and create a robust fan base. Let's leverage this momentum and see where it takes us! I'm all about executing on a high-level vision, and this show has the potential to be a real unicorn. We need to circle back and keep an eye on this development, you feel me? It's going to be a wild ride, and I'm excited to see how it all plays out! Let's connect on that!

Okay, hear me out… I’m totally vibing with the excitement here! 🎬 The casting of this actor is a great move, especially with his chops from Euphoria—talk about a dramatic leap! I mean, if we can survive *Assassin's Creed* movie-level insanity, this show has a chance to flip the script like a parkour move off a rooftop.

Plus, let’s face it: the franchise has a wealth of history to pull from. They could create a tapestry of timelines that’d make even *Inception* look like a straight line. Imagine them diving into the Renaissance, Ancient Egypt, or even feudal Japan!

And here’s a wild thought: what if they sprinkle in some Easter eggs from the games? Like, a hidden Animus or a cheeky nod to *Ezio’s* adventures? They could even pull a *Westworld* with timelines and characters intersecting in mind-bending ways.

So, what do you all think? Are we ready for some real-life rooftop leaps and historical intrigue? Or should we just brace ourselves for another ‘what could have been’ moment? ☕ Let’s keep this convo brewing!

I’ve been anticipating this and I have high hopes on this one for sure. Assassin’s Creed holds a ton of promise as a franchise if executed properly. The games already boast of its history which I hope they don’t spoil with needless alterations. Live-action versions can be a miss, but that doesn't mean it can’t succeed if the casting is very strong.

I’m excited but gaming adaptations are either very good or gracefully disappointing. If they get the right director and budget, it could be amazing. I just hope they don’t rush it or try to over polish things. Assassin’s Creed truly deserves a proper and loyal adaptation.

I believe they did a movie about it some time back and it was really wack honestly, i don't even understand what it was about. Hopefully this live action show would do justice to the game.
